Experts say America is experiencing a worse depression than in the 1930’s. American’s who are willing to work hard and play by the rules should be able to find a decent job, buy an affordable home in a decent community, retire with dignity and give their kids a better life. That is the American Dream. Today that dream is under threat. We can’t afford to wait for the government to find solutions.
Fortunately, groups of concerned citizens have been springing up throughout the country to try to find solutions to our nation’s and local community problems. The Rebuild The Dream Coalition is one such group.
Rebuild The Dream is a non-partisan coalition where everyone is encouraged to share their ideas, hopes and dreams. The goal is to use these ideas to create local as well as national strategies that will work to rebuild the American Dream. Right now our local coalition is brainstorming about how to create local jobs for our local community residents. (10/2011)
America is not broke, but it has been mismanaged. It’s time for the American people to work together to take our communities back from lobbyists and special interest groups. Millions of jobless American’s would love the opportunity to become working, tax paying citizens again.
